Medicaid

Medicaid is a health insurance program that offers free or low-cost insurance coverage in your state. Every state maintains differing eligibility requirements regarding income limits and other qualifying criteria.
Frequently, children in families with a lower-income may qualify for Medicaid or a CHIP (Children’s Health Insurance Program) in their state. Additionally, lower-income pregnant women, adults, seniors, and individuals with disabilities may also qualify, depending upon state guidelines.

If you qualify for Medicaid, some items such as physician services and hospital care are required to be covered with providers who accept Medicaid; whereas other healthcare services such as vision or dental care may be considered “optional” coverage and only provided in some states. To learn more about Medicaid benefits and eligibility please visit www.Medicaid.gov or contact your local Department of Human Services/Department of Social Services.
